The Petrohegemony Training Series
An innovative set of training modules equipping young climate and environmental justice leaders with a shared analysis of how fossil fuel power operates — through our culture, laws, politics, and economy — and the organizing skills to counter it on every terrain.
Modules can be assembled into a full day of programming or offered as standalone sessions, designed to meet organizations wherever they are. All participants are invited to join a national convergence to build relationships, deepen skills, and coordinate strategic action at local, state, and national scales.
The trainings are grounded in rigorous academic research and hard-won practical organizing experience — a framework that has already proven itself useful and is ready to be shared at scale.

Filling a critical gap in the movement
Many of the organizations through which previous generations of young leaders were trained in skills and grounded analysis of power have disappeared — or are receiving less and less investment. This is creating serious gaps in the foundational knowledge of young organizers fighting the fossil fuel industry, diminishing our movement's capacity and reach.
The Petrohegemony Training Series fills those gaps — deepening the bench of young climate leaders with the capacity and skills to take on the fossil fuel industry and win.
